"Feelin' Good" was written and recorded in the late 70’s when the Disco scene was really at its height and I was in a band playing at the Mecca Ballroom in Leeds with, amongst others, my ex-husband Tony Baxter (guitar), my brother David Joyce (bass) and our friend Keith Ashdown (drums). Part of my role was to write band parts for the chart singles that we covered during our nightly performances as the resident band, so it was impossible not to absorb all the different musical styles that were emerging at the time, and I found I had an affinity with Funk Disco. Inspired by the explosion of popular styles of the day, "Feelin’ Good" was the start of my experimental creativity.

I dedicate this track to Tony, who is presently suffering from terminal cancer. All Bandcamp net profits from the sale of this track will be donated to Great Ormond Street Hospital children’s charity (GOSH) in support of their vital work in the research and treatment of cancer.
