I wrote & produced this song called ‘We’re Gonna Keep On Making Music’ in dedication to Ali Rigg, a much-loved and highly-respected Cumbrian singer and community musician, who died on November 11th 2019.

I’ve given the song a reggae/gospel feel because the energy and bounce reminded me of the relaxed joyfulness that Ali always brought to her singing sessions. The sentiment of the song lyrics i.e. 'finding your own voice' and ‘singing as one’ describes the feeling of ‘togetherness’ which was created by Ali’s generous encouragement and kindness towards her singing groups, and were a constant mark of her sense of fun and tireless enthusiasm for her craft.

In memory of Ali, all net profits from the sale of this track will be donated to the charity Headway South Cumbria, whose vital work Ali supported by providing therapeutic singing sessions for its members.
